Collaboration & Networking
In the face of widespread global threats and pressures, effective collaboration and networking are more vital than ever.
Understanding what works and what doesn’t, learning lessons from others, whether successful or not, and being able to call upon a connected pool of knowledge and resources can really help to drive more effective and long-term coral reef protection and restoration.
Coral Connections aims to be a part of this – however small a part. We recognise that there are many excellent resources, platforms, collaborations and specialist groups out there already. If we can complement these in any way and perhaps bring a fresh perspective to questions around transforming science into policy and practice, using art to raise awareness of the dangers facing our coral reefs and highlight some of the great work being done, then we think this site has a valuable contribution to make.
Below are some examples of collaborations and networks which seem to be having a beneficial impact in coral reef communities around the globe.
